2009

As most of you know already, I've stopped blogging for quite some time. I realised that putting my thoughts in public can have repercussions... or end up biting you in the ass!

So I apologize to my friends who have been nagging me to update my blog. I just didn't really feel like blogging anymore. I don't think I'll close this page down though, some good memories here to look at. For those of you who are concerned, don't worry... I am well and alive. Most of my time has been taken up by work, as most of you already know. I'm slowly trying to get back in the groove of hanging out with friends again, although some might think I need to actually hit the speed button. I guess I've mellowed down quite a bit. I kind of enjoy just being in the company of myself most of the time... no... I'm not self absorbed. At least I don't think so. I just like my 'quiet time' and actually, SLEEP and REST!

Life in 2009... well, it's just the beginning, but 2008 has been quite a roller coaster ride. I guess it's the same for most people. I've got quite a bit to rant about, but I think I should take everything with a pinch of salt. But most importantly, I hope 2009 brings more independence, calmer days, and a holiday somewhere in between.

What I've Been Up To For The Past Month

As usual, I've been slacking on my blog updates. I've been too busy settling down in KL.. yes, I have gone back to KL for good. YAY!

Anyways, this is what I've been up to:

My last night in Singapore - A week before I left for KL, I had to say that I went 'clubbing' in Singapore at least ONCE in the 1 1/2 year that I've been in JB. So, to make my wish come true..Flo, Jin and SJoung accompanied me to the St. James Power Station. It was really interesting.. an old building with at least 4 different clubs sectioned out. I enjoyed the Jazz club .. can't remember it now.

Mia's One Month Party - yes... this was in the beginning of October. We celebrated darling Mia's one month old by inviting some friends and family over. My bro did a good job with the decor I must say.... more like balloons than decor... but nevertheless...

Weekend at Singapore - Jin's friend from Australia was visiting. Drove down for a day trip to Singapore. Some food, some talk, some shopping.

Food Poisoning

Just recovering from a nasty case of food poisoning. And of all days, I had to take an MC on my last day of work. Yes, for those of you that DON'T already know, I am moving back to KL for good. AND I start work on Monday. I hope my stomach is well by then. It all started like this actually....

My gf, Flo and I decided to try out this shop we've been eye-ing as everytime we pass it in City Square, the aromas just draw us in. Since it was a few days before leaving, I thought why not have a nice dinner with her at the place we were DYING (good description there.. seeing that's HOW I FELT!) to try it. This F&B outlet specialises in stone grills. Needless to say, the 'steak' tasted great.

However, we didn't feel all that GREAT a few hours later. Flo got it bad almost immediately while mine was a more, slow but steady "I'm gonna get you" kinda pain. The next day, I was paralysed in bed, sweating, shivering, cramping.

All in all, it was bad. But thanks to some meds, I'm feeling much better now, thank you very much. And I've loads to pack some more! Got to get going.
